CETA Report

You work for a Member of Parliament and have been asked to write a report on the current trade negotiations with the European Union called the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.

Your MP wants to understand the key terms of the deal, the areas still be negotiated, the reasons he/she should support or oppose the deal and your final thoughts on how the MP should vote when the agreement is sent to the House of Commons to be approved.  The report should also include two ‘talking points’ in the recommendation that the MP can use to convince his/her constituents that their vote is the correct vote.

You are to write a 1 to 2 page, single spaced business report that uses the required headings, complete sentences and includes a works cited list.

Required Headings:

―      Overview

―      Key Issues under Negotiation

―      Reasons to Support the Deal

―      Reasons to Oppose the Deal

―      Recommendation and Talking Points

―      Works Cited

Please submit the rubric with your assignment.  A title page is not required.
